It is so nice to have ready made pesto on hand, especially when it tastes fresh.  My taste buds are happy that Cibo Naturals truly believes that "fresh matters".  Their gluten free pesto is made with fresh basil and garlic.  YUM!

On the package it recommends serving it with your favorite pasta, but why set limitations?  Try it on sandwiches, pizza, scrambled eggs, salad…if you have not tried these, you are missing out!

I have found a walnut version in my local grocery store and a pine nut one in Costco under their Kirkland Signature brand.  I hope you find it as easy as I have.  Enjoy!

Serving Suggestions

Sandwich:
Spread Pesto, instead of mayo or mustard, on gluten free sandwich bread then add chicken or turkey and other favorite fixings (tomato and lettuce or roasted peppers and sun dried tomatoes…)

Gluten Free Pesto Chicken Pizza:
Spread Pesto on your favorite gluten free pizza crust (click here for a mine) add fresh spinach, diced cooked chicken, and mozzarella

Scrambled Eggs or Omelets:
Add a dab of Pesto to scramble eggs, serve with tomatoes and Italian sausage.  For omelets try tomatoes, sausage, bell peppers, spinach, and etc.

Salad:
Add a dab of Pesto to a mix of quartered artichokes hearts, chopped tomatoes, red/orange/yellow bell peppers, and etc.

Pasta:
And of course with your favorite gluten free pasta.
